It’s high in vitamin A and C, which are both great for clearing problem skin. Also the texture from the scrub contains many purifying qualities and enzymes that act as a gentle exfoliator. Regardless if you fancy yourself a DIY-er, integrating pumpkin into your skin care regimen is an easy way to pamper yourself. The masterful skin chef Indie Lee, founder of her own beautiful eponymous skin care line, has a Pumpkin Pie Scrub recipe that is such a treat for your body- and happens to taste pretty good, too!
Gather up these ingredients:
- 2 cups Organic Fine Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Nutmeg
- 1/4 cup Coconut Oil
- 1/3 cup Pumpkin Pie Mix
Whip ‘em up in this order:
In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients and blend completely. Add in coconut oil until fully smooth. Next, add pumpkin pie mix and blend. If you want a thicker consistency, add in more sugar.
Next, take a shower to enjoy the aromatic pumpkin spice scrub! After you shower, seal in moisture with thick body oil. Coconut oil will serve you well as will Indie Lee’s body oilsthat multi-task for body, face and even hair.
